International relations and diplomacy
International relations and diplomacy means the study of interactions and relations between states and international organizations, including foreign policy, international cooperation, conflicts, and negotiations. These fields aim to understand the dynamics of international relations and analyze the national and global decisions and interests that are affected by them.
International relations includes the study of international systems and international institutions and their role in regulating relations between states, in addition to understanding the political, economic, social and cultural factors that control the interactions of states with each other.
For its part, diplomacy is concerned with studying the practices and procedures that diplomats use in negotiating and communicating with each other. It includes consular diplomacy, which deals with the protection and assistance of foreign nationals abroad, and economic diplomacy, which focuses on economic and commercial cooperation between countries.
